About

Shankar Ganesh is a 16 year old dude from India. He's an ardent listener, a passionate techie, a skilled communicator, a close friend to some, an entertainer to others, lover of new and bold ideas and a wannabe geek with tall aims. Preferring minimalism all the way, he hates clutter, and always likes to be organized. Nevertheless, he's a fun loving guy with an inclination towards anyone who can make him laugh.

Some Background

Born in December 1991, Shankar Ganesh is currently a high school student at St. Thomas Matriculation Higher Secondary School in a quiet, little developing coastal town located in the southern part of India called Tuticorin.

Studying isn't life. There's more to it than just learning things that are taught by people. He's developed an interest in a wide number of things and predominantly, in computers and technology.

He was introduced to computers when he was around 12 (a Compaq Presario PC) around December 2005. In course of time, he found himself doing quite a number of things online. He doesn't want to be tied to one single operating system, and hence he has tried Linux as well and currently dual boots with Ubuntu and Windows XP on his home computer.

He started his first blog around December 2006, and moved to this domain in April 2007. Currently blogging at Killer Tech Tips on computer software and web apps, he also has a personal blog set aside for ramblings.

Besides managing and authoring these two blogs, he also writes at MakeUseOf.com, Techie-Buzz.com and DailyBits.com. Over the past two years, he's written over 100 articles online, some of them attaining heavy popularity on social media and bookmarking sites.

He's been interviewed by Technospot, ReviewSaurus, and also by Ottawa Citizen, a Canadian Daily regarding his works on the internet. Some of his articles will also be appearing Live IT, a magazine by one of India's top Publishers, Delhi Press.
